Children with arthritis can find even the most simple thing, like playing , writing or even opening their school bag, extremely difficult and painful. At Arthritis Ireland we understand this and we think these children are superheroes! That is why we work with families across the country to educate, encourage and improve their quality of life and help them develop their own superpowers! Become a superhero in 4 easy steps!

• Step 1: Be a superhero for a child with arthritis and sell JAsper pins.
• Step 2: Download your superhero mask by clicking on the JAsper logo.
  
• Step 3: Take a photo wearing your mask.
• Step 4: Post your photo as your facebook profile picture and join our JA superhero league! Help us create awareness for JA on facebook and help raise awareness and support for children and with juvenile arthritis and their families.

Make your school a SUPER school!

Nominate your transition years to join our JA superhero league by selling JAsper pins this October and November.

What SUPER schools receive:

• An information talk on arthritis/our organization* (Depends on availability in your area)
• A DVD explaining what JA is and how it affects children and teenagers just like your students. 
• Work experience placement for students with Arthritis Ireland.
• A certificate of appreciation for each student

Every class selling Jasper pins for young people with arthritis has the opportunity to earn Cash Prizes for their class to spend on their transition year trip or outing!

Prizes are awarded to the schools with the best combination of pins sold and money raised for the number of pupils in the school.
As all schools are not the same size, there are 2 categories; Gold, Silver to give every class an equal chance of winning!)

Gold: There are 2 x €250 cash prizes for the top selling school (Judged on selling the most pins and the raising the most money)

Silver: There are 5 x €150 prizes for the 2 schools with the highest average pin sales per class (Judged on pins sold by number of students)

How do I sell JAsper pins?

Simply down load the registration form below, fill it out and return it to FREEPOST , JAsper Pins, Arthritis Ireland, 1 Clanwilliam Square, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2.Once registered we will send you out everything you need!

Do I need a Garda permit ?
You do not need a Garda permit to sell JAsper pins. However, an official letter from Arthritis Ireland can be requested if necessary.

Can I sell JAsper pins in my local supermarket?
You can sell JAsper pins anywhere you like, including your local supermarket. You may need permission from your local supermarket , so it's worth your while speaking to the manager to arrange a date. You may also need an official letter from Arthritis Ireland- we are happy to provide anyone who fundraises for us with one of these. Contact Louise 01 6470209 to arrange.

What are the others ways I can help?
There are many little things you can do to fundraise for Juvenile Arthritis. If you can't sell JAsper pins, why not ask your local school to host a non-uniform day, maybe have a bake sale, arrange a charity sponsored leg wax or hold a quiz night in your local bar. No matter how big or small, we will guide you along the way and if you have an idea around something you would like to do, call us today!
